Act 4 Scene 1

Place: Friar Lawrence’s cell

Time: Tuesday morning

Juliet and Paris are talking in Friar Lawrence’s cell, and Paris is being quite objectifying towards Juliet when she says she does not love him. Paris ignores this and says get ready for Thursday, and after he leaves Juliet says she wants to kill herself, but the Friar has a plan: Juliet will drink a special potion on Wednesday night, and Paris will find her “dead”. She will be taken to a tomb, where she will be taken away by Romeo to Mantua.
